Olivia Suter
LICSW
Olivia Suter is a Licensed Independent Clinical Social Worker based in Washington, D.C. She has a deep personal and professional commitment to improving the lives of individuals and families affected by end‑stage renal disease (ESRD). Her dedication is rooted in her own experience walking alongside a close family member through every stage of ESRD, from diagnosis to waitlist to eventual transplant thanks to the generosity of an altruistic kidney donor. This firsthand understanding fuels her passion to ensure that fewer families endure the uncertainty and hardship caused by the shortage of living kidney donors.
Suter’s social work background and natural compassion have made her a valuable contributor to Kidneys for Communities (K4C), where she is Board Secretary. In her work with K4C, she promotes awareness, education, and support initiatives designed to expand access to living kidney donation. In addition to her non-profit work in the living kidney donation space, she serves on the board of Echoes of Lasting Peace. Her work there contributes to initiatives domestically and in the Middle East that seek to build understanding and bridge divides between communities.
Through her clinical practice, board service, and advocacy, Suter exemplifies how professional expertise and lived experience can combine to drive meaningful change for patients, families, and communities.
