Dr. Louis H. Diamond Named Chairman Emeritus as KTC Strengthens Advocacy and Expands Its Mission
Washington, D.C. – April 4, 2025 – The Kidney Transplant Collaborative (KTC), today announces that Dr. Louis H. Diamond, MBChB, FCP (SA), FACP, FHIMSS, President and CEO of KTC, is transitioning to the role of Chairman Emeritus. As KTC begins to explore new initiatives and expand its advocacy, this transition marks an important milestone in the organization’s continued growth and evolution.
“Dr. Diamond has been an invaluable leader of KTC, guiding our efforts to improve the kidney transplant system and advocate for patients and families,” said Dr. Andy Howard, MD, FACP, Co-chair of the Kidney Transplant Collaborative. “We are deeply grateful for his contributions and commitment to increasing access to life-saving transplants.”
With decades of experience in healthcare leadership, policy advocacy, and patient-centered initiatives, Dr. Diamond has dedicated his career to improving healthcare quality. He has played key roles in advancing national healthcare policies and expanding access to care for kidney disease patients. Dr. Diamond’s expertise and unwavering dedication have been instrumental in driving meaningful reforms.
